Welcome to Little Gaddesden School

Where Curiosity, Community, and Character Thrive

A very warm welcome to Little Gaddesden Church of England Primary School! Nestled in the heart of our beautiful village community, our school is a happy, vibrant place where children are inspired to become curious, confident, and independent learners.

Since 1854, our small school with a big heart has provided an exceptional foundation for young minds. We combine high academic standards with rich creative opportunities, outdoor learning, and a nurturing family atmosphere where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to flourish.

Driven by Vision, Living Our Values

Underpinned by our overarching vision, “Together in Community”, and rooted in the Parable of the Good Samaritan, our daily school life is guided by three core values:

  • Kindness: We nurture empathy, friendship, and care for one another. From our cross-year buddy system to everyday playground interactions, our children learn that showing compassion to those around us builds a strong, supportive community.
  • Endeavour: We celebrate effort, perseverance, and curiosity as much as achievement. Whether tackling a tricky maths problem, mastering a new musical instrument, or exploring the outdoors, our pupils learn to try new challenges with confidence and resilience.
  • Understanding: We encourage our children to see the world through others’ eyes. By fostering open minds, active listening, and respect for diverse beliefs, we help our pupils grow into thoughtful global citizens.
